Brighton tea shop on the radio Print E-mail

We were on BBC Sussex radio talking to presenter Neil Pringle about a new(ish) Brighton trend, pu-erh tea, which we stock in the tea shop. Click here to listen (fast forward about 25 minutes) and here if you want to know more (from the British Tea Council) about the health benefits and why Victoria Beckham drinks it.

We sell pu-erh and many other teas bespoke to Metrodeco in attractive packaging and we think they make an ideal Christmas gift. See the online tea shop.

Don't forget you can follow the daily trials and successes of the tea shop by FOLLOWING US ON TWITTER or by becoming our FACEBOOK FRIEND and we also have a MYSPACE PAGE. But we're excited about our new(ish) blog 'METRODECO'S BRIGHTON BLOG, which, since the middle of October, has discussed issues like homophobia, the BNP in Brighton and getting up early to provide our new breakfast menu from 8.15am - enjoy! Laughing

Prizes worth hundreds still unclaimed Print E-mail

NEWS RELEASE: 13/10/09

Prizes worth hundreds of pounds remain unclaimed following a charity raffle for HIV/Aids awareness.

Helen Wilkinson and Maggie Morgan, owners of Metrodeco Tea Salon, in Upper St James's Street, Kemp Town, are appealing for the winners of the Brighton and Hove Aids Memorial draw - held in the shop last Friday - to come forward.

Despite several of the big ticket prizes having been claimed already, including a week for six at a luxury villa in Ibiza, several remain unclaimed.

They include a record signed by Wet, Wet, Wet's Marti Pellow, a plush food hamper by Bona Foodie, beauty treatments and a meal for two with wine at Hove's well-appointed Bar 9 restaurant (see 'read more' link below for a full list of unclaimed prizes).

Metrodeco owner Helen Wilkinson said: "There are some fantastic prizes still sitting on the shelf and I'd hate to think that the lucky winners won't pick them up. Although the money raised has already gone to its intended cause, the Brighton and Hove Aids Memorial fund, it's right that we make every effort to connect the winners with their prizes."
